I got divorced after a 20-plus year relationship. It's hard and sad and terrible, but also funny and oddly liberating. This is where I'm exploring how to be a grown woman and how (if?) I want to maintain a friendship with a man who was my best friend once. There are lots of wonderful books about figuring it out when there are children involved, but nothing about how it works when there is just your whole adult history that you share. There is no map. So, here I am, Going Mapless.
